Dr. Wilfried Hornburg , the former director of Anklam's "Steintor" Museum who led the Vorpommern Historical Society for many years, stepped down from his post. Professor Dr. Haik Thomas Porada was elected as the new president of the society.

The newly elected president presented an updated structure and composition of the board, which includes leading scholars, archivists, and directors of regional museums. In addition to the personnel changes, the members reviewed the financial results of the year, discussed preparations for the next annual conference in 2027, and approved a resolution not to increase the annual membership fee for now.
